The objects of the Guild as provided for in its constitution are:
- To watch over and help promote the interest and welfare of members with regards to conditions of employment and to seek by all reasonable means to effect a proper understanding between employers and members of the Guild
- To help in reforming any abuses which may exist in the conditions of employment of members
- To provide legal assistance for members who may meet with accident or mishap
- To affiliate with National or International organisations which advance the professional and general welfare of the members.
- To provide welfare benefits for members and their dependants
- To exercise all powers and obtaining of all and any benefits due to members under prevailing legislation
- To participate in the training and education of members
